Now for a range session, I can't wait, the borescope shows as perfect a chamber and bore as I've ever had the pleasure to see.

I've been tossing the idea of rechambering or re-barreling one of my 7-08's to 284 one of these days. Although I was thinking of a medium-heavy sporter profile

I really dont give a rats a$$ what they say, the original rig was put together some 17yrs. ago, and all that Leupy had for compact glass was glossy. They don't own it and therefore they can go preform a ###ual impossability upon themselves.

Hi, I had a 98 1909 ARG rebarreled to 284,BUT!! I had the chamber lengthened to accomodate an O.A.L. of 3.1" That way I was able to add additional powder and match 7mm mag velocities in a short action. This rifle drops Moose and deer in beautiful "bang/flop" style. JITC

Uh, not likely!
LEFTY'S is at least 5'9", almost a foot over Big Stick!
And he doesn't go nutz over Mac stocks and Remingtons, although they both have Garands.

That's a nice looking gun. Is the ejection hole on the left side a custom setup? I have an old left handed 788 and the cases eject on the right.

Zoom in,
Those are flutes on the reciever.
Ejects on the right just like the fancy BR stuff does.

All the Lh 788s had Lh bolt/RH ejection. they were slightly ahead of thier time. How much work did it take you to get the mags to feed? I have a 6mm-284 built on a 788, and the mags take a fair bit of massaging to work, I thought. - dan
