My Ammunition crate has Cyrillic writing on it...

Purchased at Wholesale sports in late 2013:

Reads as follows:

"Brovary sucks, here's the souvenir from Shulga, demobilization year 2005."

Pretty cool. I found some Cyrillic on a crate once, but i never did get it translated

That's indeed correct, but very mild translation from Ukrainian. Brovary is a suburb town near Kyiv. Probably guy did the service there and did not liked it too much...

I imagine the writer and the crate were there at the same time. with a pen. would be kind of like me writing on an ammo box on the range in Petawawa in 2003.

Reminds me when I bought a few cases X39 about 10 years ago, and there were several USSR five rouble coins in under the tin in one crate. Coins were dated 1950's. Meh, probably just some spending money for back in the day when they planned to do their "CCCP European Steam-Roller Tour" to the English Channel.
