My AR-15 10.5 PDW build

she isnt completly finished yet, but she functions and has a couple temp parts on her. im just waiting on a few more parts but so far:

NEA 10.5 upper, Areo Precision lower , DPMS LPK, Magpul BUS.
the DPMS LPK was a bit of a mess... it came assembled but they must have rushed it and put pins in backwards...so i took it all apart and put it back together.
the Mag catch was too big and rough...so i used my stones and filed it down a little and polished the edges...they need a little more TLC ill do that tomorrow night.
waiting for :Linear muzzle break (for both rifles), MIAD Grip, havent ordered the stock or new foregrip yet...still debating on something and looking for some input..and rail covers in FDE.

Magpul STR stock in FDE , Upper receiver in FDE, rail covers FDE, linear muzzle break FDE..then the somewhat tricky part... i want to put all the controls in FDE and i havent decided how to do that..
i have a black MIAD grip on order, i may order another 1 in FDE just to be able to switch things up, since they come apart maybe a half black hald FDE grip. then ill paint 1 of my mags FDE just for the hell of it.

For sights im putting my vortex Sparc on, and my 12.5 NEA is going to get a Burris QD mount...with a chosen scope yet..now im thinking a 2-7 VXR with a reflex sight...but that s a whole other thing..
currently the NEA 12.5 has : Cadex Vert Grip, Bravo Company pistol grip, Magpul ACS stock. and a Vortex Sparc with 2x screw in

and FYI - my NEA 12.5 is @ 1200 rounds and the 10.5 is a used upper that has 700 through it, then i put about 50 as a test.
the BCG was not included with the upper so its brand new and sop is the qusdrail (thank you NEA fo a Great Hookup on these parts when they were tough to come by)

Not to harp on it too much...but that show is a joke...everything thy do is groundbreaking or innovative. Did you see the magpul vert grip they put on that ar? Wow...that's a first...

Anyway, I'm stickin with callin it Kitty cuz I think its funny.

So what do you guys think about painting the upper, muzzle break and the controls? Or should I armacoat it? I've got a airbrush and compressor so ide do it myself.

Another question I have is about the buffer tube and spring.
The LPK that came with the areo seems to have a heavier spring than the bushmaster and the nea, I could swap it to a lighter spring I have but is there a point?

Would I be better off with the heavier buffer and spring on the 12.5 or 10.5 or does it really matter?
