I have a Bushmaster AR. I'm using new Winchester brass I want to reuse. I am getting serious scoring on the case neck and small but prominent shoulder and body dents in all of my ejected brass from the ejection port (not the ground), bad enough to make me worry about brass life for reloads (or brass failure from stress risers.)
Also I've noticed if I chamber a round, then eject and inspect, the bullet has gouging on the ogive that makes me think it can't be good for accuracy. Looks like its from the sharp edges of the feed ramps.
I was thinking about carefully deburring the locking lugs and feed ramps with a dremel. Anything I should know about this, or any other suggestions out there?
