G'day Everyone

Well after a little more than a year in the making, and a HUGE Thanks to Dustin and the guys at ATRS for building the barrel (8.5") and assembling the upper, my Vltor upper/lower AR15 is done.

Was so looking forward to letting her out today at the range, but I never read the email stating the range was being used today for a cowboy action shoot. So it will now have to wait until the long weekend (maybe) to get her back out to the range.

Here are the details:

Vltor Upper/Lower
Magpul Stock
Spikes Tactical T3 Heavy Buffer
Spikes Tactical FA NiB BCG
Bravo Company Ambi charging handle
Magpul Enhanced trigger guard
BAD ASS Ambi fire control
Norgon Ambi Mag release
Yankee Hill Handguard
Fab arms Pistol grip
Fab arms foregrip
Troy folding rear battlesight
Troy fixed front battlesight
ATRS Eliminator
ATRS 8.5" Heavy profile barrel

Now I need an optic and sling (Viking Tactical). I'm waiting on the Lucid Gen III's to be available in Canada. Then it will be complete.

Enjoy the pics!!!!

Have you used your BCM CH yet? How does it feel? Can you compare it to the Rainier Arms Raptor CH?

Sorry, I'm still trying to decide if I going to use(buy) the BCM or Rainier CH.

your front sight is backwards and the grips are gross and wellfairish but nice build

Ya I knew I would probably take some flack over the fab arms grips but I just feel they have more meat on them and fit my hand better than anything else I tried. As for the BCG I got it from Brownells. It's nickel boron coated. Did the paperwork for the import in August. Got it into my hands in February.

Since the range was not available yesterday I couldn't use it in a live fire session but holding the rifle and manipulating the controls it seems very easy to use. Can't really compare to the Ranier arms one though. Sorry.

Ok, thanks anyways. Could you please take a 'top down' shot of the CH, so I can see how much it might get interference with the forward assist?

Nice build (other than the grips, lol).

Where did you locate a Vltor lower? I'm trying to locate one for my latest build. Drop me a pm if you could....

Cheers!

The grips, the grips. I know Fab arms is obviously not the most popular ones out there in the community, but I like it. Next time I run out to Wolverine's I'm going to pickup a Magpul potato front grip to try since that is of some interest to me but for now the fab arms stuff will stay.

I'm always playing with things on my weapons, so as I use this new rig more and more I will not doubt make more changes as we go.

Does anyone know anyone in Canada that is currently selling or pre-ordering the Lucid gen III's? That is the one thing I need right now to finish this off. Ordered a VTAC sling and mounting hardware this morning from Brownells.

Later......
