My Archangle 10/22 build

I picked up a Archangle 556 stock for my 10/22 today. I was going to get the Nomad, but I cant stand the way it looks with the butler creek 25 round mags in it. And apperantly the mag thats included with the stock is crap.
I also picked up a Vortex SPARC for the sight.

Heres what I started with. Just your base modle 10/22

I've heard lots good about the vortex dot sight. I'm pretty excited to see how it dose. I dont think I'll use the 2x magnifier too often, but it might be fun to try once in a while. The sight picture really sucks with it on, but still dosent bother me much.
I also threw on a colapseable fore grip that was from one of my pellet guns. I dont know if I'll leave it on there, or just swap it with a differnt one.
Thats all I got so far, I still have pleanty I want to do to this gun.

Is there any support at all for the barrel or is it totally free floated? I was considering this kit but am worried the aluminum reciever won't be able to support the barrel alone.

The barrle is free floating. The reciever is mounted to the stock with the 4 holes on the top of the reciever, and with the bolt at the bottom of the gun. It feels solid, but I just installed it. I havent shot it yet with the new stock, but from all the reviews I've read, and watched most everybody seem to be verry happy with the stock.
