I had a very peculiar trip to the range yesterday with my wife.
Almost every time she shot my Baretta it would jam. I would take the gun clear the jam fire a couple rounds and give it back she would shoot and it would jam again. This happened time and again. I could empty a clip and no jams, she would try a shot and it would jam.
Any thoughts to this peculiar problem?

Yep.. definately sounds like she is limp wristing. Show her how to hold properly and explain she needs to exert a moderate amount of pressure (squeezing the grip) to both accurately & properly operate the firearm.

Ive seen a pretty good youtube video of a guy trying his best to limp wrist a beretta but it still kept working with no issues. Dammed if i can find it now.

the beretta is just like any other italian woman- they hate it when you spell the name wrong, and get really "p8ssed' when you're in the arms of another- then the vocabulary comes out a mile a minute

This is interesting - First I've heard of this - the only jams I've experienced from my Beretta 92FS in 15 years of using it, have been because of improperly crimped reloads (my fault).

I've had everyone from petite women to my 5 year old daughter shoot it with no jams. It's one of the reasons I use it for newcomers, because it is reliable.

OP, any idea what the year of manufacture is on yours? Mine's a 1992 vintage, maybe this is a production quality issue?

I've never had any jams with my Beretta due to the grip, even when noobs shot it, but I did see a female shooter jam another guys 92 almost every shot like you described. Before that I didn't think it was even possible! If she learns how to hold the gun right there wont be any problems.

Thanks for the replies, that must be what it is. The gun is only 6 months old and was only the 3rd trip to the range with it so i thought maybe I had a lemon but it confused me that it would not jam for me.
