My Barret 50BMG arrived.

So i went through a great ordeal getting some 50BMG ammo imported from central america...great i thought.....10 cases (800 rounds) = $4000 later...

I open it up and what to you know...damn stuff is made in Brazil not Arizona

Oh well .....still nice to see Barret on the brass

$5.00 a round is cheap, lately I have seen surplus 50 cal going for $12.00 and up per round at gun shows, when you can find it of course.

Yeah but saying $5 dollars per round is cheap is like saying a $200,000 Lamborghini Murcielago is cheap. Yes its cheaper, but its still pretty expensive

Let's assume that it is rifle ammunition made by CBC to Barrett's specs, and not just commercially packaged MG ball. CBC can make good product. Even if it is MG ammuntion, it is fresh, commercially made. The cost doesn't seem all that bad, considering the options.

With the price of components from the one dealer in Alberta who seems to have the most available, it would be cheaper to buy more ammo at $5.00 a round.
