OP picked up a nice rifle, but I disagree the design has any benefits at all over the 700 design.

Me neither with the possible exception of trigger, I never bothered any of my X-Mark Pro triggers, but I was told the earlier ones are a lot easier to tune.

What it has over any of my Remingtons is a higher level of fit and finish.

Thats a nice rifle once again, Catapult! Still wish mine had your stock lol. Boring stock or not though, it keeps throwing whatever I load in it into less than an inch.

Here is the inside stock and the factory action screws pillar bedding.
From Bergara web site:
''During the stock making process, two oversized holes are machined and filled with a tough metal-infused epoxy resin. After the epoxy cures, the stock is CNC machined to exacting tolerances. The result is 2 solid epoxy pillars that surround the action screws''.

When I saw it was pillared I was kind of hoping mine was steel, but a good epoxy should hold up, looks like they did a good job

I have a B-14 Timber in 6.5 Creedmoor. It’s very accurate, and very heavy. It’s 9 pounds as shown with a 4-16 Bushnell. Hornady American Whitetail easily shoots under 1” at 100 yards. I haven’t started to work up any reloads for it yet, but I’m sure it will shoot near 1/2” with hunting loads. The action is very smooth, almost like a Tikka. The fit and finish is very good. My only complaint is that the stock is “bulky”.

Might be bulky but it sure is a looker, Underthegun. Good pictures too! In 6.5 Creed it must be a real pussycat to shoot.
