i just finished making the stock for what i call my bubba tactical rifle. Because it was a Savage 12FV non tactical rifle, in the non tactical 204 Ruger, with a non tactical bushnell 3200 5-15x50 scope, bubba weaver rings and bases, and my home made bubba tactical style pillar and glass bedded stock with spray truck box liner finish. And cost me a non tactical price of $1100.

But it shoots .3.

The only negative comments you'll get are from those of us that spent more for less. That being said it's MUCH ;) easier to shoot smaller groups with smaller bullets :p . Nice job.

the only parts i used from the old stock was 1 sling stud. i inletted it with a router and template i made. the steel pillars i milled on a lathe. i used solid birch wood. i dug the barrel channel a little deeper and fiberglassed the channel under the barrel and free floated it.

its not a mcmillan, but its better than tupperware.

its laminated. i used 3/4 x 6" stock and glues 3 together. the fiberglass was an attempt to stabilize the stock more, i read that in a vietnam sniper book.
