Recently got my PAL and it was time to buy my first gopher killer. Well I really wanted a SR-22 but just couldn't bring myself to spend $550 plus a scope when I could get a brand new carbine for $300 with a scope. So after seeing all the ultimate builds and knowing a few guys that had already bought sr-22's I decided to go a different way...

Started with a very slightly used 10/22 from prairie gun traders.
New Tasco Varmint 2-10 scope.
Boyd's Evolution SS stock in Nutmeg.
SR-22 Barrel purchase from JT_Trouble.
Volquartsen target hammer.

I put this together for less than the price of a scopeless SR-22 and now have a 10/22 alot different than anyone I know. Just finished it this week so hopefully I can get out and shoot it this weekend. Its a very balanced rifle and also very confortable with the Boyd's stock.

Let me know what you think,
Adam

Looks like you'll have a lot of fun with a rifle you've put some effort into making a nice build. Those stocks are great for offhand shooting. All the best!

Actually Adam....
I have a Charger stock for sale that would make a nice "little brother" to your rifle build! :D

Oh...the sickness has begun
