I finally got the rifle i wanted in a round about way and on a budget -kinda.

Started with a Savage MK II BV with accutrigger but not 93 series receiver.
Bought in from the local crappy tire no less. They had it for 4 years and it was priced at $450 WTF. I went in couple of months ago and saw it marked down to $350 and asked for a look see. I noticed a rusty finger print on the bolt and a little spot on the barrel so the guy let me have it for $350 taxes in (thats 13% HST in Bantario). I had wanted a TR but could not afford one and could not find one. I bought a blem tacticool stock from boyds for $90 all in to the door. Only thing wrong was one sling hole was drilled a little off centre. I found a Bushnell Banner 6-18X50AO at a local gunshow for $100 with rings, ordered a new trigger guard from savage for $25 to the door, blued the bare steel bolt to make it more "tactical" and modified a screw from the parts bin for the trigger guard as the BV part would not fit. Bought a third sling swivel stud for $2 at the local GS. Had to inlet the stock around the first 4 in of the barrel as it is an older style receiver and barrel. Anyway long story short This is what I have for $567 including taxes. I am very pleased with the results for the price.
