My Coyote load for this winter

My main load in my main rig are factory loads. Hornady TAP 55 grn. Never any fur damage and drops them in their tracks. And consistantly shoot well under an inch groups.

Just curious, what rig is this?

My rig is an almost plain vanilla Stevens 200; has a Kydex cheekpiece added, and Bill Leeper properly set back and rechambered the factory 1:9 twist barrel to 223 Ackley Imp.

40 gr Ballsitic tips at over 3900 fps for coyotes, or 75 gr Amax at 3000 fps for wolves, all in one inexpensive package. Shoots into less than five inches at 300 meters with a 4200 Elite 2.5-10, rides well on a snowmobile, takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

You can actually breathe onto the lens at -30, and still use the scope. The RainGuard coating really works! The image dims slightly, but is still more than bright enough to use. Have won a few coffee bets by purposely doing this to show guys at the range. :)

This winter my "custom" Stevens 200 in .223 will get the nod along with 70gr Bergers or 50gr Z-Max both print sub .25 MOA

I dunno if you can still call it a stevens if the only original part is the action :p
