Ive been shooting center fires for years and just recently discovered the "joys" of owing a 10/22. Nothing like being able to shoot 1000 rounds in an afternoon to relieve the stresses of life :D Well now the custom bug bit me and I ordered some goodies from Hawktech and Bits of Pieces and put this together.

Ruger 10/22 w/ Nikon Prostaff 4x parallax set @ 50 yards
Harris 6-9" swivel bi-pod
16.5" fluted Green Mountain Barrel
Hogue OverMold Desert Tan
Power Custom Hammer and Sear
Bolt Buffer
VQ auto Bolt release

I stripped down my 10/22 compact which shot extremly well, around 1" at 50 and this gun may not even shoot that well but it looks cool so...what the heck
I'll post targets when I get out to the range.

Nice look scott!

I put a 16" fluted GM barrel on mine last month...... WAAAAAAY more accurate than the factory barrel! You have nothing to worry about!

I really like the stock, where did you get it, and how much $ if you don't mind me asking?

Ive heard great things about Green Mountain bbls so Im hoping it will shoot well. From what Ive read on the net they're sold out across the U.S due to being such a good barrel.

I ordered the Hogue stock from HawkTech, paid about 100 US and it took only 4 days to arrive at my door. I was preparing for a 2 month wait due to customs giving grief at times to gun related goods.

The only bad thing about those Hogue stocks is that the fore end is really flexible so if you shoot with a sling, or off that bipod, your accuracy is going to suffer as its not free floating. Shooting off hand and holding back by the magwell will work the best...

Other then that, very nice rig. I love building up 10/22's, seems like no two are ever the same...
 
I'm pleased with the accuracy of the Green Mountain 18" barrel I have on mine. I wouldn't get overly worried about the flexibility of the stock if the barrel is a tight fit in the receiver. Just for the hell of it I shot mine with the barrel rested on the rest instead of the stock, and it shot fine.
 
I shot off the bags this afternoon and 5 shot groups printing in the .5 and .4, very happy with that. Gun hates Fed bulk and stove pipes with it all the time. Remington Game loads were reliable but printed over 1.5" The ticket was Winchester 333 with a boresnake run down the bbl after every 5 shots. After 5 shots the ammo really started to open up to the 1"-1.5"
Any one want a quality barrel Id really reccomend the Green Mountain.

they are sold out for being for than just a good barrel. GM supplies the US military, so they do runs on the barrel. when they have resources, they do a run on them. i think i picked up one of the few 18" from the last one. awesome accuracy.
 
My custom 10/22

Hey, I decided to share some info about my rifle with you.

1. GM 20 inches bull barrel
2. Monte Carslo laminated stock
3. Complete trigger kit
4. Bushnell Banner 3x9x40 IR with Millet rings
5. Harry's bipod

I spent some time to find a right ammo for her and now I'm very satisfied with results. Was shooting it few days ago. Distance - 100 m, humidity 70%, wind 5 km/h, 10 shots in a row without breaks, all were made withing 5-6 sec. Ammo - CCI Felociter, 1450 ft/s, 40 gr.

Right now it's not a problem to shoot 1/2 MOA groups on 100 m.
