So I have picked up a CZ 858 Tactical 2 and for anyone thinking of buying this rifle I say go for it! It shoots well has a good feel in your hands(minus the tiny pistol grip designed for children). And the ammo is cheap.
I am starting this thread to show the changes my gun is going through.

Here is a couple shots of it with the original wood on it.

Only thing I disliked about the wood was the small pistol grip. The top part of the forgrip was a bit lose as well; however that wouldn't effect gun performance anyway.

Now a few pics after the Fab Defence install. I put the Fab recoil reducing buffer tube and the Fab ar15 collapsable stock. The Fab pistol grip and the polymer rail. I really like it feels and shoots now.

I will be putting the magpul forgrip on it, as well as an optic. Most likely an Aimpoint micro.

Welcome to the club :)

Welcome! I remember when I was new to the forum and only owned one CZ858... :)

Caution, these are addictive. Go search for posts by Dmitri and look at his collection. I'm looking for my 3rd right now... sigh.

BTW, you should check out the NEA and BC Tactical furniture, I have one setup identical to yours (same colour too!) Love the recoil absorbing stock but the the FAB doesn't hold zero that well for me. My 2nd has the NEA forend and its much better. The BC Tactical furniture is going on my next one.

Anyway, enjoy!

great choice on that rifle. I feel CZ's/CSA are a little addictive. Watch out for it.

Yeah, it blindsides you. I bought my first CZ as a cheap alternative to shoot while waiting for my LATT so I could get an AR. Then I shot it and fell in love with everything about it. Never expected to be a Red Rifle guy.

gotta agree, but its your cz so do what you will with it and Enjoy

I've had mine for 2 years and i've loved everytime i've shot it.

Oh yea, I am not saying change it based on my opinion, I was just saying I like the stock look more.

I do like the wood furniture however I wanted a proper rail mounting system, and adjustable stock so I had to swap out. As for the Fab until I get an optic on it I wont know how well it holds zero, however another local guy I know has the same rail I do and he has had no issues with his.

I ordered the Lucid HD7 optic too! I should recieve it sometime in the next 2 weeks.

If the fab doesn't hold zero you can always just buy the top rail from NEA and replace that, its only 90 dollars

take it from me about being addictive, I have a 18.6" cz, 15.5" cz, a 11 3/4" csa and soon a 7.5"csa. Not to mention my cz 85 combat pistol.

Holy hell... Which length do you like shooting best? I only have the 18's but have been thinking about a shorter one with a folding stock.

Your going to love that Lucid HD7, bought mine and had it out to the range, very clear and holds zero regardless of reticule.

Well I got my rifle pretty much all set up now, I changed my mind on the optic and I went with the Bushnell TRS-25 which so far is working pretty good. My gun has also been painted a green coat. I don;t have a pic of it finished but as soon as I get one I will post it!
