That's awesome! If I had kids, I'd do the same. Makes for a good family bonding time and not to mention, they learn respect and proper firearm handling and aren't afraid of firearms like some of today's urbanites. The word GUN alone is enough to make them shiver!
I've pretty much educated my nephew on gun safety etc and he respects it and all. I was going to treat him to his first shooting range session when we were in Hawaii this past summer but my sis (his mom) wouldn't have it. She doesn't think he's ready for that or she's sheltering him from firearms but she's not totally anti-gun since he plays with my BB and airsoft at my place and she's okay with that.
