So - there's been a big bullet drought in Calgary the past few months. But sure enough, a quick weekend trip to Edmonton yielded 1300 bullets of mixed 9mm.

Huge props to P&D Enterprises and Wild West. My summer reloading season was looking like it might be in jeapordy (and thus my winter shooting season) but I'm safe, now!

Time to lube up my Lee 1000 and have at 'er!

Until this Obama thing fades out, I'm imposing a strict personal limitation to 50 rounds of 9mm per range per week trip, alternating between my 9mm's and .22's (and accounting for the odd IDPA match). Complementing my cache of 1800 rounds already, and accounting for the odd missed week for regrettable and unavoidable range conflicts (i.e. - my wedding and honeymoon), or for trips that I mix it up shooting my shotguns or AR, I think I'm ok for about a year.

Using my Lee turret press, and being limited to 100 round per hour of reloading time - I tend to conserve my ammo naturally :)

I told my fiance this morning "Maybe I should go pick up some more bullets before we go home," to which I got a response of "We still have to pay for our wedding," a smack to the nether regions and a cold shoulder. Suppose I'll have to make do, eh?

I hope you live close to the range if you're only shooting 50 rounds per session.

Mine's 45km away, I have to make it worth my trip when I get there.

I was at P&D yesterday for the first time..

What a great shop and I dropped a couple hun on some cool stuff.

Not everyone can afford to shoot 2500 rounds a month like you nutz. If 1300rounds is 6 months for him quit pickin on him.:p

harbl, harbl, harbl the cat, you're already giving in to things like paying for a wedding and honemoon. What will be her next demand? New shoes for the kids, mortgage, clothes, savings? It will never end you know.
Think about this before you take the plunge, "Is it worth it?"

Just pulling your leg.

Congratulations and have a great honeymoon.

As bearhunter said, the freedom of spending days are numbered.

As a future reference, when you get your pay check, simply take the total amount of your net income (the money you actually get) and times by .01 for your shooting fund.

So if your take home pay is bi-weekly at $2000.00 x .01 = $20.00 or about 40.00 per month, 2 months of the year you will get 60.00.

An uncle of mine told me this when I was getting married and I laughed at him and said , NO I don't think so.

Well as it turned out the calculation was a bit off it should have been closer to .005 once the kids and mortgage and her slush fund is accounted for.

Her calculation rate is $2000.00 x .1 = $200.00 as a minimum and don't be surprised if it gets as high as .4 and you better not say a thing about it.

If you reject this rate of calculation then the divorce lawyers will eat up a lot of that income and the actual amount that will be deducted will be about .7 times your take home pay.

So you are better off with the .01 rate and live happily ever after, if you don't then the second rate will be applied and it sucks.

Ask me how I know this, go ahead and ask me. LOL

Have fun your honeymoon.

have you ever heard of mail order?

You can get them delivered to your house, as many as you need and for the price you probally paid to fill your tank.

He's already picked out a woman, didn't you see the part about wedding and honey moon... OH you mean the boooolitts!

:D
