My first 10-22, help me build it...

I received my 10/22 all weather model.

I'm looking to build it up, but am unsure which way to go. I was thinking I'd make a target model out of it as it seems the market is slowly being flooded by the tactical models (S&W, Colt et. al)

So where to go? I'm thinking Hogue stock, and maybe the Dlask barrel? they seem to be getting good reviews on both products and Dlask is local to me.

Which length barrel? If I'm going to make a target/varmint gun, I figure I don't really want a 12" barrel any significant difference between the 16" - 20"?

And a scope? It came with a rail mounted on the receiver, wondering whats popular for the ruger?

Thanks, I know these are pretty rudimentary questions, nut I'm reading lots and looking for more first hand opinions.

I would have a look at this thread and get some ideas, There are endless ways you go..!!:cheers:
 
The Hogue stock has a lot of flex in the forend. You will end up having to stiffen it up with arrowshafts if you want to improve accuracy. There are better options for stocks.
