I just got my first build from Sean at NSB yesterday. It's a .300WM built on a Stiller Tac300 action with a 26" Broughton 1/10" 5c barrel. The stocks a Mcmillan A5 with PTG bottom metal. It's got a Sinclair bipod and a Badger FTE brake. The trigger is a Riflebasix. The scope is a Nightforce 5.5-22x50 with the NPR1 reticle. It sits in Talley Tactical rings (low) on a 20MOA rail.
I took it to the club today to sight it in with some Winchester 180gr PP's and Hornady Superformance 180gr SST's. I was surprised that it didn't seem any louder than my uncles .300WM, and the recoil was a joke. I think my M96 Swede kicks harder.
I shot the Winchester first, to get it on paper and it was around an inch, which didn't surprise me. The tips of most bullets where deformed. The Hornady was a real shocker. I've never shot groups so small in the same day. I'll be stocking up a little of this stuff! My goal is to try some of the high B.C. 200gr + bullets and bang a gong at the kilometre.
Here are a couple of pics of the rifle and the best two 3 shot groups today.
Anybody have a sling suggestion for this girl? She's about 14lbs loaded.
Sean does some fine work. The deer are in real trouble!

The dominant long range rifle in US NRA matches for a while was the .300WM, when the bullet selections for .308 weren't holding the bull subsonic.

Nice rifle! I'm sitting on a couple builds from Sean that I haven't had the chance to shoot yet, great to see those groups!

The TAB GEAR sling works great on heavy rifles for both carrying and shooting.
