My first African Safari, Cape Buffalo and Kudu

I was fortunate to be invited by Benelli to an African Safari. I got to shoot their new Lupo rifle. (Lupo is Italian for Wolf)
The rifle, topped with a Steiner scope and shooting Sako ammo performed flawlessly.
I was using a 300 Win Mag for all my animals except the Cape Buffalo, for that I used a 375 H&H.
A big thnks to Benelli for setting up such an awesome experience.

Man I'd love to hunt Cape Buff... Hemingway's 'Green Hills of Africa', about the pursuit of the Kudu, is one of the great reads ever.

I was a bit surprised when Benelli got into the bolt action market as they are so well known for semi shotguns and rifles. I've definitely been thinking about Africa more these days- We should all probably hurry up on the bucket list stuff.
