Looks good. I don't really think you need the ASAP, as it's not the type of rifle a single point should be used with, IMO. If you decide to use it, make sure you use it to stake the castle nut properly.

The PRS is the way to go. What optic are you going to use?

I'm a stubby kind of guy a2 stock little long
PRS Stock looks cool
I don't know yet on the opt. I know i don't like magpal sights. the asap was just there when i pick up a shorty Barrel.

the noob that i am.. Is it worth getting an adjustable gas block or is it just another thing to play with?

You shouldn't need the adjustable gas valve if the barrel is ported correctly. Rifle length systems are the least finicky and you don't even need an adjustable valve on carbines.
Save your money for good optics and ammo.

The optic depends on what you want to use it for. IMO a 20 inch barrel is more for longer range use, so a magnified optic would be my first choice. There are many options out there in all price ranges. Perhaps a 2.5 - 10X?

What type of trigger do you have installed?

Where'd you get the stock?

off a nutter here was the first thing i bought barrel was the second. I really should have planed it better. original plan was to build two rifle at the same time one for cqc the other for distance. i will still be on that plan but i want to play now. I think will be all Canadian parts.

update: Its done and shot it today. I ended up putting on yhm flipup frontsight/ gasblock. I will put up a picture in the ar pics later. just trying to fix the flashhider. i just can't seem to get it right. Are there any hints to the washers? I have two different washer first wash is a wedge like but in a ring. i can't seem to mash down the wedge and put the flash hider on properly. the other i need a chisel to split the metal washer.

i'm a noob. ah i mean. i just wasn't thinking of the kinetics of the 223 round. i always thought it was just a faster moving .22. Oh was i wrong. I have a metal gong that i use for plinking. and well there is a nice creator in it now. The lead that i normally use wouldn't do anything.

So I'm Impressed with this round so far. would love to try a 308 now.
