Hi guys

I just got my first AR in the mail the other day, well lower receiver and had a few questions about building it, It is a ATI omni lower and I have on order a Daniel Defence lpk and should be getting it early next week, right now I am buffer tube shopping and was wondering what a good one is and where has the best prices on them, I am going mil-spec for this build and have been looking at this tube, let me know whats out there.

Hi everyone, so I have received most of my lower parts and have started the build, the only thing I dont have is my shoulder stock but that will be in the next week or so,the build consist of a gen 1 omni lower, a Daniel defence lower parts kit, and an Aero precision mil-spec carbine buffer tube kit and a Tapco end plate with an attachment point for a sling.
I went cheap on the lower and want to mid to high range on the other parts just to get an AR up and running, I do plan on putting together a better lower but that will be for another build, this is my first AR and I wanted to put it together from the ground up.

Here is what I started with

And 45 min. later here is the end result

Any input on upper to attach to this would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking

Congrats. I just finished putting my lower together as well, An Omni like yours, but I have the gen2 Hybrid. I'm excited to give it a shot.

Doubling my excitement, I just picked this up off the EE:

All I need is some mags and sights and this thing is heading to the range ASAP. With much "room clearing pew-pew" practice in my man cave, cause let's face it, we all do it.

I plan to get a See-All sight for it.

I also have a Strike Industries Cobra AFG for it as well.

I was also thinking about getting a magpul fixed MOE stock for it, since I like fixed stocks. I hear the LOP is kinda short on it though so I'll see if I can check one out somewhere first. This stock I ended up paying about 50 bucks for the tube, spring, buffer and stock. So even if i don't use all of it, it was still a great deal.

Going to be a fun rifle. Shorter than I had planned, but when the deal presents itself, sometimes you just have to pull the trigger.

Congrats to both of us. First time AR owners. (I've had this stripped lower since Christmas, it's nice to see it finally taking shape.)

It's a Norc upper. 10.5" but a Midwest Industires quad rail and a DD flash hider. on the EE it was $450. I couldn't pass it up.

I got a DPMS LPK from Saskatoon gunworks when they were on sale for like $25. Small parts only, so no trigger or grip. I was planning on getting a Spikes combat trigger from a local shop that had an extra one, but he sold it to a guy before I saved up for it. so I just bought a $30 trigger for it. I think it's DPMS, but I think he was working on it for a project that never got done, because it's been polished a bit and is very nice. Probably the best $30 trigger I'll ever buy.

The stock components I got in somebody's bargain bin at the Calgary gun show last year. No idea who made them.
