This is my first attempt to build an AR. I have had 2 previous but bought both and pretty much shot them as they were.
I needed something for the 3 gun ODPL shoots and hope this will do what I need.
*Armalite lower
*Keyhole upper
*Shaw 16" heavy barrel 1-9
*milspec lower kit
*Magpul M93 stock
*Magpul MOE handguard
*Magpul MAID grip (was going to trade for black but I like the way it looks as is)
*NC STAR scope and bipod (I know but it was all I could afford and actually it looks pretty good).
Had it to the range tonight and it functioned perfect.4 shots to sight the scope in but shortly after it shot loose. Brought it home put a little locktite on the mount threads and she should be good to go.
The scope surprised me with how bright and sharp the optics are but time will tell.
Only thing I'm not happy with is the trigger has a pretty heavy pull.
I need to check and see what the rules allow and look for a lighter trigger .
