Greetings,

I rather enjoy reading/viewing the various creations of the found in this forum, so I decided it only fair to share mine as well. What fun the AR building can be (I am already looking for a potential new project).

The build is as follows:
RRA Lower
RRA Upper
RRA 10.5" 1:7 twist heavy (before the gas block)
DPMS LPK
DPMS Commercial buffer tube
DPMS BCG
H2 Buffer
Carbine buffer spring
YHM Spectre FF tube
YHM Spectre low pro gas block
YHM Phantom (I think) FH
Magpul Commercial MOE stock
Magpul MIAD grip with enhanced trigger guard (the polymer version)
Daniel Defense QD sling point
Bushnell Holo-sight
Chinwah BUIS (which seem to be working quite well)

For the 100 or so rounds through it so far, I am very happy. Not a single functional issue yet.

The upper assembly was quite simple: the only required tool is the AR multi-tool wrench. Just tighten, line up the gas tube hole, adn install the gas tube.

Total cost for the entire package was approx. $1500, and took me 2 weeks to get all the parts and assemble (I had the stock, grip, and buffer tube in my possession at the beginning). If I were to buy one, I would get the LMT 10.5" complete guns available from various dealers. I feel there is something to be said about building your own, YMMV.

If we lived in the states we could build our own... CHEEEEP!

As it is here, you don't really save anything (in fact it's often more $), but, you get it your way which is satisfying, and it's fun to do :D

That model was made with EoTech internal's. I have been kicking myself ever since I sold mine as they no longer make them.
Be-sides that...

I was planning on getting the RRA 10.5" pistol also and was wondering what was the length of the handguard? I was thinking about getting a CAR length but I think the mid-length would be real ###y.
Also, your build looks fantastic, I think I'm in love ;) Don't tell my wife...

Thanks for the compliment! I agree, the Holo-sight is great. For the CQB shoots I have attended (and plan to attend), it fits my needs perfectly.
