My first custom 6br (First targets update)

Okay, the chamber was cut for lapua brass no turn supposedly. I will check some measurements. Those Berger's were jammed I'll check everything and clean it and try again. I did notice that the necks are odd shaped after. And they are not ejected hard just gentle and pulled out of breach by hand. I've never used lapua annealed brass, is this normal or the neck chamber too tight?

Thanks,
Chad

Your 12 twist barrel will handle Sierra 85's real well and they should shoot well for you. The 68's should shoot better than they are. Go to a bit faster powder than Varget(4895, 3031, 748). You should be able to average near the 1/4 moa mark. Regards, Bill.

Chad you need to find out the specs of that chamber the neck diameter and find out if it is a 6br norma or if it may be an older 6br rem some of the older 6br rem had a shorter neck.
Then make sure your brass is trimed to the proper length.
Is the action properly bedded.

Like others have said you need to shorten your ejector spring I had to do the same on my 6br.

Thanks for the awesome replies guys. I will fix the ejector or remove it. Its a Shilen barrel and is stamped by Accuracy International so perhaps they will know of the chamber. It is bedded, but I have not had the stock off to look at it so I will do that. I tried 90gr sierras and they were just out of stable making oval holes in the paper so I will try some 85's next time I can, I have H4895 on hand so will try that as well.

Thanks again!

So I'm not having great luck yet but still trying. When shooting the Bergers I have the document about the different lengths. This done after you find what looks like your best node I assume? I was shooting jammed so I take my best group and now load at different lengths?

Thanks,
Chad
