Not my first rifle by any means but my first CZ and likely not my last.

This is a 527 LUX in .222 and will be a walk around coyote/fox rifle. And just a shooting for fun gun.

I believe I will sell off some of my "safe queens" and get a big game rifle ether a 6.5X55 or a .270 Win.

Nice rifle. I currently own a CZ 550 in 9.3 in the Medium. I did own an FS in .270 but didn't care for it and sold it. I wouldn't mind getting an American in a .30-06 or 270. The only thing I don't like about the CZs is the safety. It's way too loud when you disengage it. And I'm not comfortable sitting in my treestand with the safety off.

Oh oh! When I read "The only thing I don't like about CZs..." I thought what is this guy going to complain about. But a loud safety or any noise that equipment might make while you are hunting, is something that I don't like. I'll have to look into that.

And I'll have to make a trip up to Dapp.

I have a 222 and it came with two magazines. Both of these would scratch the brass badly and cause rough feeding. It's a simple job to dissemble the magazines and polish the feed lips with a hard Arkansas stone. Mine were so rough they would cut your finger with their saw tooth edges. You may want to check yours for similar problems. Very little metal is removed and they work 100% better in my rifle.
