I picked up this O/U in a trade. It is in great shape, better than I expected. It only has a 26" Barrel.

I Don't know much about it other than one barrel is full choke and one is modified. Not sure which is which yet, one is marked with a star. I'm Not even sure what length shell it takes, I need to measure the chamber, it is not stamped on the barrel. I wish I could get a manual somewhere.

It has some really nice engraving on it. A pheasant on the left side, a duck on the right side, and a bird dog on the bottom.

I emailed Renato the serial number and they told me it was manufactured between 1970-1975. There is a stamp on the barrel that says CAM.76

Anyone else have one of these?

Pdubois64, that is a nice gun. Renato Gamba makes fine firearms. While the Icaro was not one of their top of the line offerings, it is a great game gun.

The top barrel will be full choke and the under barrel modified choke. The chamber length will almost certainly be 2 3/4 inches, and the gun was never made for steel shot.

A photo of the proof marks on the bottom of the barrels (with the gun broken down) would tell more, and a close - up of the engraving would be much appreciated. Also of interest is what the gun weighs.

Go hunt pheasants and sharptail grouse with this gun, it is an ideal U/O for that purpose. Enjoy!

Thanks allot for the info! I am a bit of a newb when it comes to shotguns.

I will try to get some close ups of the marks and the engravings and post later today.

With the value of my trade and some cash I got back I paid about $650. I didn't think it was a high end model.

The CAM 76 is the chamber length in millimetres. Your gun has a 3" chamber.

The stamping AC is a date code for 1977.

There should also be markings on the barrels such as 18.x which would be the nominal metric bore diameter and other numbers close to but less than 18.x which would be the choke measurements.

The PSF is a provisional smokeless proof and the Finito is final proof. The bordered RG is the makers mark.

My son shoots a Gamba -made Mauser 76 skeet gun that was owned by a Canadian Olympic Team member, hard to know just how many rounds are through it, but i would think many thousands!
It handles well, is clock tight, and is a dream to shoot.
