Well first thing I did was strip the stock completely, then I sanded off all the mold lines that usually come with a savage stock, then I did a base coat with Krylon fusion black primer. Then for my template I just cut out various shapes of a woodland type pattern. The paint was Krylon Camo paint. Last step was to spray it with several coats of matt laquer.

Nice... in the process of snow camming a HB savage .308.... glad someone else is using the black fusion/Krylon primer.... Have to play with the air brush now.... Doing a fugly Choate stock and actually looks quite cool all white.... if I was keeping it a white scope would look really beasty with the black accents such as the cheek piece, bipod adapter etc....
Good job on the camo by the way....

make sure you give it 3 or 4 coats of matte laquer, if you don't the paint will wear allot quicker

Ya for sure, will do........it doesn't see alot of use, maybe 4-5 rounds a year if that...never have a chance to use it:redface:
