Just finished cleaning/playing with my buckmark Field (or Target without hoods), I can't wait to fire it friday! (probably, I hope).

I got it from a CGN'er for a VERY VERY decent price considering it's a target with a full rail, even if it's a 1988, it look brand new :)

Before even to get it, I bought some grips on ebay, made a pistol and a shooting gear aluminium case. I got a spare mags on the way and have bought a nice Ultimate cliploader for 1000's of fun :)

A big thanks to Stoller for having the patience to wait till I got my PAL, it took nearly 2 months, so a big thank you.

Here's some pic from when I got it:

Now here some pics with the black grips. I'm still not decided if I put Fiber optic sight on it yet.

The wood grips are bigger, there is a big thumb rest on the left side, so the black rubberised grips will be better for my girlfriend to shoot it.

I already bought :
1 pack of 525 Hollow point 36gr copper platted high velocity
1 50 pack of Federal Game Shok 40gr copper platted high velocity
1 50 pack of CCI Stinger
3 50 pack of CCI Blazer
1 50 pack of Federal Classic 40gr copper platted high velocity
1 40 pack of American Eagle 38gr Hollow point copper platted high velocity
1 50 pack of Rem. Thunderbolt Hi Speed
1 50 pack of Rem. Yellow Jacket Hyper Velocity
1 50 pack of Win. Wildcat 22 high velocity
1 50 pack of Win. SuperX High Velocity
-------
1065 round to fire in no long :)

I did 2 CT, 2 WM, 2 Gun shop, no CCI Mini-mag no where..
They used to have them at the local Wall-Mart but no luck.

Damn my finger is itchy to play with it :D

LOL, yeah more ammo once I know what it likes. I guess I'll buy 2-3 brick of those 525 value pack at walmart for 13.99$.

Grotto, well my pistol was put on hold about the same day I sent my application. It took 40 day for the PAL, I called the CFO the same day to know my PAL number, I emailed the seller so for him to start the transfert, next day I called the CFC to complete and next day the CFO called me to have them mailed my Range membership/ATT papers, (which I received 1 week after). If I had my membership on file, the transfert would have taken 48hours.
Shipping took about 3-4 days, now 2 more days to wait to fire the hell of it :)
What is taking so much time on your side ?

Congrats on your purchase. You're going to have a fantastic time using it to make swiss cheese out of targets.

Yeah look like I won't be able to shoot it tomorow !
I have not the registration certificate yet, but I do have the letter of transfert which say the same DAMN things.
CFC said I can't go and shoot it. I'll call the police to ask their oppinion.

Way to go - great choice for a first pistol, it will last a lifetime.

Have fun, and don't skimp on the ammo!

Indeed. You'll probably like to use that ammo to get a nice "I tried this and that and this was good, and that was baaaad" range report.

Like Mikey said, you're bound to find quickly that bad ammo is frustrating.
Don't matter the gun you use, bad ammo - with lots of inconsistency- is a pain.

My advice is to grab some sorts of reputable ammo and see what it likes.
Forget about the cheap stuff.
Is not even fun to plink with it at the range with the kids. I get jams from the bad fouling with powder - and that with the 10/22....

congrats on the purchase

Very happy for you Icefire. Your Buckmark looks great! You will love shooting it (and so will your GF).
Remember - focus on the front sight, squeeze the trigger, and follow through. Give us all a report (preferably with pics) after your first trip to the range.

Yeah, I'll call the CFO tomorow to ask about my certificate problem.
If I could make a car trip from MB to QC to get the pistol without certificate, Why can't I got to the range 35 minute away... lol

I'll bring the camera to the range so I can have a few pic of my gf shooting ;)

Nice gun. Love mine too.

Don't asked the Police. They actually no very little about Canadian Firearm Laws. Wait till you get the paperwork.

Your screwed if you get caught with out it. You must be able to produce this reg. cert. on demand. That's the law and they can and will charge you.
