Im sure others are just like myself and like seeing new rifle builds. Here is a bit of info on my first precision rifle.

It was built using as many parts as I could find from the EE while not compromising on quality.

I plan on using this rifle as my long range (500 yards plus) target slayer.

With the bi-pod it weighs in at 15lbs 10oz.

The rifle started as a new SPS tactical in 308 and immediately had the barrel removed.

Here are the details and a few pics. I'll post more pics later this week once I get it out to the range.

Very nice, very, very nice.

Given the parts and the Smith, I am sure we can look forward to seeing some very nice groups from your first trip to the range.. :)

Good on ya for sourcing everything you could on the EE Forum. One will be surprised by what you can find here. Glad that you also supported all kinds of local board sponsors! What a swell looking rig!

Cheers mates!

That is SWEET! Someday my Stevens will be making the transformation into a LR rig. For now I am focusing on getting better at reloading! hahah

Thanks for sharing!

Very nice built with quality component !!

The 6.5x47 Lapua is so fun to shoot with minimal recoil and the less i can say is very accurate.

How do you like your mark4 ?

I havent really used it much yet but so far I really like it. Took a bit of time laying behind the gun to get it spaced correctly on the rail.

I've only put about 10 shots down it so far but the recoil is pretty much non-exsistant.

Great build!

Any plans to make the curtains match the drapes?

I'm actually going to spray the bottom metal, action and bolt with tungsten colored Cerakote.

I'm not a big fan of the SPS factory finish.

Not sure what I'll do with the stock yet. For now it servers it purpose but I do need to get around to putting my TacPro cheek riser on it before I go out shooting again.
