I have a 1942 No1 MkIII* which i will be "restoring" back to original. i say it that way because it won`t really be original as it is drilled for a scope. some of the wood furniture finally arrived from numrich yesterday. when i ordered, all they had in the way of fore ends were ones let in for volley sights. a week later, they had the proper fore end. i`m ok with that, but i`ll probably never put volley sights on it. along with that was the rear hand guard. snapped right into place like it was made for that rifle. still have to fit the fore end, but that won't take too long. pics will be forth coming, but not yet. the wood from numrich looks brand new, walnut i would guess by colour. am still looking for metal bits, getting a few offers from some CGNers in regards to that.
this rifle is for me, will never be worth much, but always wanted a No 1.
am looking for a cut up too short No1 or No4 as well.
