:) Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to show some pictures of my first rifle! I have had the rifle for a few months, but just got around to adding the scope. Hopefully this week I will get it all sighted in and post some pictures of what it can do. Let me know what you guys think!
Setup:
Thompson Center Venture 22-250
Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50
Shooters Ridge 9"-13" bipod

It definitely looks awesome, I bet you're going to have some fun with that.:)
Is your Viper a FFP, or a SFP and what are your impressions of it. Looking
forward to the range report.

Thanks! It is a SFP. I'll try my best to get out this week and post some pictures of the targets and let you know what I think.
I should also add that the scope feels rock solid. It feels very well built, excellent turrents, and IMHO, it looks pretty badass..

Looking forward to more opinions!

Looks great! I've had my license since about October, but I recently picked up my very first sporting rifle just last week. Can't wait to get out there and shoot. Enjoy it.

Very nice rig! Those Venture's are guaranteed to shoot M O A so you will have fun with it I'm sure. I got some Vortex binos for Xmas and they are awesome. Post some targets when you can!

You made a good choice in the Venture, smooth action, solid bolt, crisp trigger and with your setup it should be shooting 1/2" groups with ammo it likes with no problem.

Congrats

Congrats!!

You`ll love it, I have one in 223 and it`s a blast to shoot. This is the best 2 groups I shot with it last time I was out.

Great choice for youre first rifle... Should be a tack driver! and a mean coyote getter:D

Best of luck with her, and do post some pic's of youre targets.

Target Pictures

Ok everyone, as promised, here are a couple of target pictures. This was my first actual time trying to shoot accurately, so keep that in mind please!:D The weather was about 10 degrees with a wind coming from my 8 o'clock. Ammo used was Hornady Superformance 50gr varmint (the ones in the pictures with the rifle).

The bottom hole in the second picture was shot before and not part of the group.

Buddy for fresh out of the gate those are bragging groups. A little trigger work on your part will see them shrink. Keep notes of conditions, but also note sight picture when trigger broke and work at trigger break without anticipating it. It looks like you got a shooter. Congratulations.

Thanks guys! Medic...I will continue to work on my shooting and hopefully it will improve. Thank you for your kind words. I've been plinking for a while now and occasionally busting clays at my buddies but shooting the 22-250 for a day was sure a blast! I didn't even go through as much ammo as I thought I would which was a nice surprise haha.
