My first Ruffed Grouse of the Season!

I had a brutal start to the season this year, skunked five or six times in a row and I was loosing hope. I went out fishing for a change of pace and on the way home I decided to try a logging road I passed on the way out. Withing five minutes I had all three birds in the truck and I was on my way home early. Good times. On a side note, I highly recommend the "wad wizard" choke tubes. I have the "swat" short to medium range tube and it patterns better and more consistently with all kinds of shot than anything else I've used.

Congrats, love the taco. I have a 2010 and have been looking for a 1st generation to use as a hunting rig.

I got skunked on the fish. The whitefish were surfacing around me but not interested at all in what I was offering. I'm going out again with different bait tonight hopefully.
