Yipee! While at a work party this weekend at our deer camp in Ontario WMU 63A I finally knocked down a grouse! The number must be up in this area as I saw/heard 6 this trip and 7 last time. Much more than I have seen in the last 4 years I have belonged to this camp.
It tasted REAL good on the charcoal BBQ at camp...my first grouse since I was in high school.
Hopefully this is an good "omen" for the upcoming deer hunt.
(yes, the head is missing...shot it CLEAR off with my Rem 870 12 gauge #7.5 shot at 20 paces. Lucky shot I would say!
