I'd be very surprised if there was very little rifling left, and if there was, then the gun's useful for parts only.

I'm sure the rifling is perfect, its a 1954 so the bore is chromed. To wear a chrome bore, that need a truck load of ammos to be fired. When you look thru the bore, with the light reflection,the rifling may appear shallow but i'm sure your barrel have lot of rifling in. If the bore would have been worn, he would have been replaced during the refurb. Maybe you could post pics from the inside bore just to see.

The rifling is probably fine... as mentioned if it needed replacing it would have been done durring refurb.

Have a look at the serial numbers to see if everything is matchy matchy
