Take it from a guy who has spent way too much time and effort on various slow-ass, smelly and marginally-successful methods for cleaning skulls...THAT IS GENIUS!!!

My buddy with the wash business always says "I can clean anything!", when I showed up with an intact deer head he seen it as a challenge. 5 minutes of 250 degree water at 3500 psi, it was squeaky clean.

And you took it in completely intact to start with? Even more amazing.

For a skull-cap mount like you did, that has to be the best, easiest cleaning method going. I'm assuming that high pressure like that must have wrecked all the delicate bone structures in the nose, etc. so you couldn't do a full Euro-skull like that?

Regardless, that is a nice job. Looks good on the plaque. At first I was thinking that I would have preferred it without the small "brace" that holds the antlers in the horizontal position, but the more I look at it the better I like it. Congrats on a cool mount.

I almost did it without the shelf, but the antlers are not connected to anything, I can reach up and take them off to handle.

Thanks guys! The plank was a fluke. I went to the shop to find some pine to make a shelf, seen the wood plank and a little light bulb went off.
I am very happy with the outcome, being forced to think out of the box ended up in a great mount.
I was pretty excited to see it done, I am happy to get some good CGN reviews.
