I finally got my first shotgun

I went with a Mossberg 500 20" Persuader w/ pistol grip. I haven't had a chance fire it yet, but I'm looking forward to it!

I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on some attachments and accessories. (where to buy, what to get, ect.)

I was thinking of getting a heat shield, I'm thinking the original Mossberg one.

A bandoleer sling, and a sidesaddle.

Any advice you can give would be great!

Thanks!

What are you using it for? I wanted a headshield on my SXP until I put 12 shells through it quickly and didn't get too hot to hold...they kinda look cool though. I just went with a sidesaddle and a red dot for slugs.

I'm not a hunter or anything, probably just shooting clays or cans. To be honest just for aesthetics, the rest of my collection is WWII milsurps. So if im getting a black and green gun i want to kit it out lol

Yeah. I'll probably shoot a few rounds off for fun with the pistol grip, but I can't see myself really using it. I can imagine 12 gauge isn't very comfortable on the wrists!

actually i have a mossberg chainsaw and shooting it from the hip in that configuration is no problem...with your setup and longer barrel it is less comfortable.

if you do plan to keep that pistol grip, i dont see the utility of a red dot or other optics...a heatshield would be cool

Hard to go wrong with a mossberg. Swap out that safety for a metal one. Load shoot repeat! Enjoy it and stay way from all that crap tacti-cool stuff out there. Pistol grips are not hard on you cause ur arms will take up the kick.
