I'd take the metal handguard and tapco mag off yours and put them on your brothers rifle keeping the main wooden stock then use the spike bayonet as a monopod when needed.Spike also serves for hotdog cooking at the campfire.

I chose bananas because
1. I like bananas
2. The other options were too harsh in their direction.
The modded SKS is actually rather nicely executed, Some refinements with some "scary" mods to prod the anti's. My advice is to keep everything you removed from it somewhere safe so you can always go back to the original. I say this because I played the SKS tacticool crapshoot and eventually decided I much prefer an "as-issued" SKS (with the life-saving magazine pin) over anything modded. Both are nice so buy lots of ammo and go have fun! Just remember they ARE collectible military surplus rifles. The wood is actually quite nice when refinished. Just have a look at The Kurgan's upper HG on his laminate ruskie. Ask him what country it came from.

Hey man, that is a great rifle...nice job on the mods...Only thing I don't dig is the banana mags...I went to the five shorties and they look so much better in my opinion only....However that being said, when the shtf you might want to unpin those 20/30 mags...otherwise the fives are aesthetically prettier...

OP, yours is cool. For my own taste, I didn't go as far as you did with the mods on mine. I went with the cheapo ATI folding stock. For my own reasons, I kept the factory mag and bayonet. The only other modification I will do, is go with a peep sight.

No one else needs to like it, just as long as I do. As long as you like yours, that's all that matters too.

The way I see it, it's just saying that I'm an indifel according to the Koran. Which I am :D

lol

I am sorry to tell you that infidel and not indifel is a term used by Christians to describe non-believers, specifically Muslims, the word never appears in the Quran and is from the latin (infidelis), Kafir (Arabic) means non-believer, some one who doesn't believe in God, Christians and Jews for example are referred to in the Quran as "People of the book", but i guess some people have made money by convincing other that these words mean something else.

Nice SKS by the way :)

Perhaps you're right. You seem more educated on the matter than myself and most, but Im pretty sure I've heard some say death to infidels somewhere...lol

Yep i have heard idiots shout death to infidels, guess they should stop watching Hollywood movies and actually read the Quran.

OK enough, we will get a warning, so now you need a few crates of surplus and time to shoot it :)
