My first SKS,,Rifle Stock Question

Hi Guys,
I just bought a '54 Izzy SKS with a Red Hardwood Stock but want to pick up a Light Coloured Laminate Stock for it.
I have a lead on one but it has a bolt through the Pistol Grip area.I assume it's off a Tula ?
Will my action & Bbl. just drop into this stock or is it a problem ?

the bolt through pistol grip is proper and normal. It will likely fit. Laminate stocks are certainly better for shooting and take more abuse.

So, it looks like the Laminate stocks have the Bolt through the Pistol Grip & under the rear sight while the hardwood stocks only have one through the forestock under the rear sight ?
Trying to figure out whether they are interchangeable.

Yup they will fit no problem. I have done this myself.

The bolt through the pistol grip on the laminated stock is there for reinforcement, to prevent the laminate from splitting,that's all. Both stock interchange without problem.
