After much debate and doing TONS of research I bought a 1951r Tula for Lever Arms.

Lever arms was great to deal with, called in my CC info and they shipped it within a couple hours and I recieved it the next day.

Once it got here I removed the bolt and trigger assembly and shipped it to Murrays' in Texas to have the Spring loaded Stainless Steel FP kit installed and installing a 31lb hammer spring and tuning with the Wolff Rifle Performance Pak.

Still waiting for it to arrive back from Texas (should be next week).
In the meantime I ordered a Tapco Stock from fabsports.ca and 720 rounds from budget shooter supply. I think im also going to get a Tapco Mag as well..then start looking into optics.

Overall, Im really excited to take this thing out and put some rounds through it. My first gun I bought was a shotgun and it gets boring pretty quick so I figured a SKS would be perfect for plinking and it's cheap to shoot.

Just a pic I snapped when I got it.

I'll update when I get it all back together.

Thanks for all the great info here everyone!

Congrats on a fine acquisition :)

You'll likely love the way your tacticalized SKS looks, then you may see that it shoots better when bone stock ;)

Keep your original parts, you can then swap between original and tactical looks. Get lots of range time, keep it clean and enjoy it for what it is.

There's lots, lots lots of very useful info in the sticky posts in this section of CGN, take the time to read them, you'll find there's tons of great advices in there.
