Tired of waiting for the SFRC Chinese milsurp $99 for 400 rounds deal to re-stock so I bought this at my local Wholesale Sports. 880 rounds for $224.99 = 25 cents a round.

Anyone know what this says ??

Thx to a user on http://russian-mosin-nagant-forum.com, I was able to decipher these markings.

Time to pick one and open it up.

Nicely wrapped up.

Ooohhh, look, shiny !!

I just broke into a cold sweat looking at the jaggedy edges...too many scars, too many sleepless night knowing I was gonna have to get some more.
Then I discovered cutting discs and power tools.
Haven't shed a drop of blood since :))

The "can openers " can be just as dangerous as the can, I cant be the only guy who stabbed himself in the thigh eh.

Or am I ?
Could be a whole new thread..Worst injuries ever received opening spam can..with pics.

It looks like Rusian, and it should have a special tool to open those cans, it usually embedded in a top lid of a crate. Makes is much easier than what u used...
What it says: top line is the person who packages the crate, bottom line is the person who does quality control.

The markings indicate it is Bulgarian ammo.

As for the opener, I feel kinda stupid about NOT seeing it screwed to the INSIDE of the lid.

Thx, that helps. :)

After I found the opener I sorted through my assorted hinges and found a set that fit just right.

Those can openers do make it a lot easier to open the tins. I love opening a new can , freshness guaranteed with every squeeze of the trigger.

Those cans look awesome, I opened my first a few weeks back, Norinco, not painted like those, just bare powdery metal that smelled vaguely of cheese...

Thanks for the pics!

Yes, these cans DO look awesome !!

After finding the opener I proceeded to completely remove the top off the can I started to open with a cold chisel (not sickle) and hammer. I then removed all the ammo and placed it in my locked "ammo storage" container. I plan to take a Dremel and grind down the jagged edges of the can so I can recycle it as a "loose tool" container in the garage.

Is it a bad thing to open up the cans and store the ammo in their paper wraps elsewhere? Or in ziplock bags ? I've been doing this to save on space/junk around the house... That, and I just cannot resist opening the cans when i get them
