Yeah the ultrasonic is quicker, but does it clean as well as a tumbler? I don't think they would come out super shiny like they would out of a tumbler, but I guess that doesn't really matter it's just as long as their clean.
 
Ultrasonic=junk. Stay away, they are more witch magic than anything. A regular tumbler with corncob or stainless pins are the two best ways to clean your brass. The initial investment into stainless pins is large but the payoff for clean brass cannot be replicated by any other method of cleaning.
 
With stainless don't you need to wet tumble, or fan you dry tumble them as well? I've seen some ultrasonics do a really good job not sure if I'd call them witch craft lol
