My FNC1 clone, minus the Canadian body cover, which I had and lost a long time ago.

Beautiful! Hope you got a chance to shoot her pre-prohib. I would seriously consider trading a body part for a chance to own one!

yes I shot her but I can't remember the last time I did, it's been that long. She sits next to my M1A and M305 shorty and she is unfortunately a safe queen. Even though the only difference is a pistol grip on the FN. The only time she gets to go anywhere is when I move.

Very nice... I too have an FN-C1 clone. It's a BSA L1A1 outfitted with every piece of C1 furniture and part I could find back in the day when such things were common. Like yours, it's a safe queen. I was able to shoot it a bit before the Prohib rules cut in...maybe again, someday.

Mine is a genuine C.A.L. 8L-series FN C1A1 rifle that was formerly issued to the OPP ERT way back in the 1860s and 70s. Those rifles were sold off to SIDEM Inc in the UK, a major surplus arms dealer back in the early 1980s when the OPP upgraded it's ERT rifles to carbines. SIDEM remarked the rifles with British proof marks on the underside of the barrel, thus making them no longer Canadian Government property and eligible for importation as (initially Non-Restricted rifles. Peter Wilke of Ontario Gun and Tackle imported several hundred of the SIdem Canadian FN C1A1s back into Canada in the early to mid-1980s. Here is mine:

And my pre-SARP Canadian Small Arms family (circa 1985):
