I have a Garand that is being built at SC Gunworks in Markham, Ontario. The rifle is 99 percent finished except I am missing the rear handguard ferrule.




This part was ordered on January 13 from Marstar but for some reason the part will only be shipped today.

I am going crazy, I just cannot wait. Is there some kind soul in the GTA who has a rear handguard ferrule?

If you will hand deliver that ferrule to SC Gunworks in Markham, I will see to it that you are very generously rewarded.
 
That's a lower band that you are needing, right? Try to get a new one as the used ones tend not to fit as tightly as they should. Also, have your 'smith use a roll pin to install it as these usually give a tighter fit than do the solid lower band pins. You want a bit of clearance between the rear handguard and the face of the receiver, at least the thickness of a business card. Your 'smith can dress down the back end of the handguard with a file or sanding block. Good luck.
