For anyone who shoots with their partner, any advice to offer on how to get their partner out for the first time if they don’t show any interest? I believe you won’t know if you like it if you don’t try.

It helps if they know some one else at the range that is also shooting. It can be very intimidating for some one who doesn't feel as if they are part of the group and don't know what they are doing, they don't want to look like a fool! This doesn't just apply to women either, I've seen men that wouldn't go shooting because they didn't know what they are doing and don't want to embarrass themselves. I find that it's best to ease people like that into it, try to take them to a range when there isn't many people around and let them learn the ropes so to speak before having them shoot with a bunch of other people. It also helps to let them watch others shoot so they can get used to the routine of how the squad functions during a shoot. It's also very important that the gun doesn't hurt the new shooter, men will tolerate this but it will turn a lot of women off shooting instantly!
