ok gentleman i've got some spare time, now where to begin? lets start it with a duck hunt, this evening hunt was pretty unproductive. cool little pond though

next hunt was a little better, had a field full of about 3-500 geese in it the morning of, so we decided to hit it that night. we threw out about 8 dozen decoy's in a silage field a where wishing for the best. between these being weary birds and us using layouts in silage it was going to be a tricky hunt. of course when the first flock lifted up it decided to go into the field across the road about 300ish yrds away. we had decided not to hunt that field because we knew the farmer was taking off silage and we might run into a problem, well turns out the birds knew what we where thinking. we ended up with a few flocks coming in and skirting the decoy's and generally made for pain in the ass shots. far from a three man limit, a flock of 20 or so birds decided to come play. my buddy made the call we flipped up i shot the first bird i saw and wouldn't you know it. it had jewellery. turned my night into a story to tell. banded in james bay nunnavut in 2006.

next up was saturday, i had acquired a very hot field full of stupid birds. needless to say i was very excited. called up a few friends of mine and planned our attack. decided to throw out 6 dozen or so decoy's and stubble up in the long grass on the edge of a drainage ditch (no we couldn't hang out in the drainage ditch.too long of a shot with crappy cover for 4 guy's). now i've only been doing this goose hunting thing for about 4 years and i can safely say this is the first time i've ever seen every single flock of geese work into our pocket like we had planned. needless to say we had a 4 man limit in 43 minutes. now i know these geese where stupid becuase as we where cleaning up and taking pictures we had easily another 250 or so geese in spereate flocks try to land on our heads. was an amazing hunt

the reward. forgot to tell you guy's. that little guy in the top row is a cackler.boo yah

there are also a few hunts i don't have pictures of yet. but i will be sure to update when they come in. seasons count 170 geese 40ish ducks.

hey, not a problem i love sharing hunting tales. i'm from a town just south of london called St.Thomas

I've been out on one successful goose hunt this year in St. Thomas and will be going out again tomorrow! Hopefully the weather cooperates, we were going to go out tonight but the weather had the geese out of their usual patterns.

We were going to set up but there was several hundred already in our field so we decided to leave them until tomorrow and we will beat them to the field! hahah

Suposed to be a crappy rainy overcast Saturday. Aka perfect goose hunting weather. We have 3 fields packed up right now, so tomorrow's scout will be the decider. I'm ready to go now!!

Good deal. I'm heading out Friday and hoping for the same results. The geese have been there all week and there is lots of corn loose in the field.

I was up your way last weekend and on the outskirts of Ottawa and the Perth area every open field has birds on it. I'm gonna have to find somewhere to hunt up there as it'd make a good weekend trip sometime.....

Also nope, no weary birds, they still seem pretty clueless, all the ones we shot we decoying with wings spread and feet down ready to land. We had a flock or two make us in total.
