Wood grips on revolvers and 1911s are choice. Nothing to do with function just great for esthetics. Nice gun. looks even better in person.

I have always liked the look of GP100's and S&W 626's. When you add a set of finger grooved wood grips to a stainless revolver, it makes them really, really nice. I would add them to my Dan Wesson but I kind of like the factory grips and I don't want to mess with that particular wheel gun.
