So Far I changed the mainspring housing to a flat one.... Got some HEX screws from Fusion Firearms. Next will be a SS gide Rod thats a bit longer... And Thanks to jporietis I have a GI safety on the way.

I also just cancelled my adjustable sight order... I think I will go with the Novak Style Green Fiber Optic rear and red front... Still not sure...

Let me know what you think

thanks

I'm curious too...I bought mine used and it is marked like this as well. Mine isn't scratched though, more like poor QC on the finish:confused: Is this a "thing" with GSG? Holster wear perhaps?

This is quite common with what I've seen so far, with mine and 3 other owners.
They too have the same wear marks on the slide.

The finishing on the gsg SUCKS! but other than that everything else is top notch. (Sights could be better but what you do expect from a 400dollar gun.)

I might send it in to get a coating...

I will be gone for 6 month to kuwait in december if all goes well...so Im thinking of sending alot of my guns to get worked on...

Like a number of 1911's , if the dustcover on the front of the frame is a little tight or has some burrs on the inside, the slide will rub on them as it goes back & forth & wear off the finish.
I remove a small amount of metal of the top inside of the dust covers to eliminate the problem.
