My gun came in!!!!!

Sharp, I ordered 2 on advice of someone who sells rifles, so that I have a choice. Some stocks are not quite perfect, etc, and it will be nice to see 2 samples and pick the best. I ordered them in classic .270 Win. Can't wait!! Will post pics on arrival.......:dancingbanana:

Beautiful rifle. Why not try some 165's which will probably give your shoulder a break, and are usually just as accurate as a 180. My 30-06 loves 165gr. bullets, and group better with them than with 180's and do not mash my shoulder at all.

Can't you load it and close the bolt without a round in the chamber and then just work the action when you need to get a shot off? Or just leave the action open with rounds in the magazine?

Can't remember BG regs but Alberta says no bullets in or on the firearm while in a vehicle. That means a charged mag clipped to a hanging floorplate is considered loaded (browning) in the cab and even if it is leaning up against the truck whle you are taking a leak.

To hunt in Alberta (assuming you have permission to hunt on the land you see an animal), you can shoot you gun if you are 33 feet from the center of the roadway on a secondary road/highway and 49 1/2 feet from the center on a primary road/highway.

Those numbers are rightout of the Cons Officers mouth.
