I'm going to make an effort to get my heavy barrel 10-22 to shoot better for this summer's gopher time.
It shoots about 2" at 50 yards and 4 or 5" at 100 with federal bulk hp's.
I'm going to try a bunch of different ammo, maybe even some match stuff in the next few weeks.
I'm wondering if the factory heavy barrel is worth keeping. Anybody ever change a heavy barrel for a drop in? Mystic has some reasonably priced with match chambers that I might look at, but I'm guessing they would'nt make a difference with cheap ammo.
Should I buy a match grade barrel? (or a bolt action!?)
